How to Plan and Create an Outstanding Corporate Holiday Event Part I

It's Q4, your team has done an outstanding job hitting all of their goals this year and now it's time to party! The goal of a corporate holiday party is to show your team that you appreciate them by giving them a fun time to let their hair down and have a memorable experience. Let us help you create an outstanding corporate holiday event.

Here's some tips on making sure your corporate holiday event is not a FLOP.

  1. Gather a minimum of 3 detailed proposals from legitimate corporate entertainment companies in order create a realistic budget for your event.

  2. Don't hope for a Disney World Event on a Local Carnival budget. We can't stress the importance of budget enough. Understand that quality companies have done the necessary market research, as well as put in the necessary experience hours to demand the rates that they charge. It's okay if they do not fit into your budget this year, simply adjust your budget accordingly in order to guarantee you're able to select the best provider the following year.

  3. Food and drinks are a must. Many times, your team will enter the event with their radar set on the buffet table. Food and drinks are some things that are rarely enjoyed in the office therefore, there has to be more than enough to go around at the holiday event.

  4. Discuss your timeline with your entertainment provider. It's important to have a clear picture of the night's events in order to prevent breaking the groove of an open dance floor. Don't micro-manage the timeline however, that's a good way to look around and see your crowd begin to dwindle quickly. This will be the ideal time to announce awards, retirements, hand out prizes, and gifts as well. QUICK TIP: If the event is 6 hours (including cocktail/dinner hour), we suggest doing this at the 3 hour mark.
